The first thing you start with when looking for work will probably be a resume. Don’t forget that there is another very important thing to your application process, the cover letter.

You may come across job ads that don’t require a cover letter. If you find one, take the time and write one anyway. It shows that you are serious about the job and cares enough to take the time to write a cover letter. Your letter is an ad for your resume. It may help you get one of those much-wanted job interviews or even to get you hired on the spot. There is really no reason to omit writing a cover letter, but keep in mind that the cover letter must be well written. The letter must hook the reader enough to read the whole, so do not make any spelling errors, keep it short and to the point. If you are not sure how to start, I will give you a couple of tips to get you started.

The first quick tip you can use: A cover letter should be less than one page, in a professional and easy to read language.

The second quick tip you can use: Put something really catchy at the start of your cover letter so the person reading it gets interested.

The third quick tip you can use: Make sure that you requested a job interview in the cover letter. When you have done that make sure to call the employer about your resume and a potential job interview.

I hope you will write a great cover letter that gets you your dream job! The Writer has written many cover letters for his customers over the past years. Get tips from him and other talented writers at Help with Cover Letter. For more examples check Cover Letter Examples.
